Sunday 30th November

Advent Sunday was bright and sunny and the trees shone even more brightly as the congregation gathered for the Advent Toy and Parade service.
As usual, members of our uniformed organisations took part, including the lighting of the first candle on the Advent wreath
and offering prayers at the intercessions. As the service drew to a close, we brought up gifts of toys to be distributed in Sefton to needy children.
The service ended, the Christmas Tree Festival began, and we welcomed visitors to the magnificent and colourful displays around the church.
Our first visiting performers were our friends of Indigo Vibe, a close harmony choir who entertained during the aftenoon session.
Now that all the long weeks and days of preparation were over, it was time to settle down for the week's openings and entertainments.
