Chapter Two - Trees and Trumpets

The first batch of photos show something of the daily activity of the Tree Festival, with lit trees glowing by day and night,
and helpers selling visitors refreshments and the usual tempting range of goods - edible and otherwise - on offer.

The first evening event of the week was the by now traditional Wednesday evening Brass Band extravaganza.
Under the auspices of our Church's Services Family Support Group, which meets monthly to remember in prayer all who serve
in the Armed Forces, and their families, we were treated to a very special carol service, led as usual by Padre George Perera.
As in previous years, accompaniment  and stirring seasonal medleys were provided by the talented musicians of the Lancashire Artillery Volunteers,
resplendent sd ever in their uniforms.
This year we were also treated to vocal delights by the Broad Green N.H.S. Choir, making the occasion even more memorable.

A full and delighted audience/congregations contributed to a retiring collection for service charities
