Tales of the Trees 2017 - Part Three
The Ninth Christmas Tree Festival at St Faith's
'Listen to the Band!

The third of a sequence of picture galleries recording the sequence of events
from the arrival of the Christmas Trees to their final dismantling and removal.

This page records the action from Monday to Wednesday 5th to 7th December.
Rick Walker and his wondrous organic machine performed by day, attracting the attention of parties
of local primary school children on their annual visits to our Festival.

Much louder music was on offer on the evening of Wednesday, 6th December.
Under the auspices of our church's Services Family Support Group, which meets monthly
to remember in prayer all who serve in the Armed Forces, and their families,
we were treated to a very special carol service, led as usual by Padre George Perera.
As in previous years, accompaniment  and stirring seasonal medleys were provided by the talented
musicians of the Lancashire Artillery Volunteers, resplendent in their uniforms.

The delighted audience/congregations contributed to a retiring collection for service charities.
