The Christmas Tree Festival at St Faith's
'Ready.. Steady ... Go!'
The second in a series of picture galleries recording the sequence of events
from the arrival of the Christmas Trees to their final dismantling and removal.
This page records the action on Saturday and Sunday 3rd and 4th December, as tree sponsors came in to deck their allocated trees with
baubles, bangles and, probably, beads. Each tree proclaimed its identity and the good cause it represented,
with optimistic buckets alongside to accept the donations that would follow during the week.
Stalls were set up and stocked and the show was at last ready to go.
The first session took place on the Sunday afternoon, sandwiched between the 11.00 am Advent Sung Eucharist
and a 5.00 pm service of Advent meditation, readings and music for Churches Together in Waterloo.
Music of a different kind was provided during the afternoon by the Indigo Vibe singers,
who are fast becoming a favourite feature of the Festival.
