From Crosby to Chelmsford
Expedition to the East End

On Wednesday, 2th May, 2016, a small but select group of parishioners (others were there in thought or prevented by indisposition)
made the pilgrimage to the deep south o witness Revd Dr Sue Lucas complete her transition from priest in charge of St Faith's
to become the Rector of the Parish of East Ham, Newham,London, where Stephen Cottrell, Bishop of Chelmsford, did the honours.
Kathy Zimak's enhanced picture gallery tells the story; there will be more words to follow soon.
Among the worthies pictured below are the Bishop, the leader of the Youth Counselling Service,
the Deputy Mayor, the minister of the South Indian Church, the Archdeacon and Sue's two (doubtless relieved) fellow priests:
Revd Quintin Peppiatt (priest in charge of one of her other churches, St Mary Magdalene)
and Revd Revd Fred Ashford-Okai (assistant priest of the third church, St Edmund's).
A Good Time was Had by All, including, evidently, by the Crosby contingent.
