The Sunday Schools' Sunshine
Party
On Sunday 14th June, 2009, the sun shone
on the righteous -
or at least
on the Sunday School children of the United Benefice,
the teachers
and helpers and a few of the parents - in the Vicarage garden.
The tried and tested formula of fun and games proved as successful as
ever.
There were things to make and do, a bouncy castle to work off surplus
energy,
the traditional circle for Pass the Parcel, a low-tech skittle board,
face painting and of course, the mandatory jelly, cakes and drinks.
For a few hard-earned minutes of (relative) peace and quiet, parents -
and the Vicar - could sit in the sun while everybody else rushed
around ...
