The 2016 Christmas Tree Festival at St Faith's
Singalong Sessions

Helen Kibbey writes:

Thursday evening saw St Faith's host the Christmas singalong for Crosby District Scouts.
We invited all groups and all sections Beavers,Cubs, Scouts and Explorers from the district,
along with any family members who wished to stay. There were over 250 in the church.
Our singalong was supported musically by Robert Woods, St Faith’s musical director,
who accompanied the story  telling of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, some traditional Christmas songs a
nd some not so  traditional action songs, including a very noisy scout version of the twelve days of Christmas.
Afterwards we enjoyed some refreshments thanks to the support of the catering team.
Good fun and Christmas cheer was shared by all.

The editor adds:

24 hours after this riotous occasion w welcomed two very different musical groups to entertain us at an evening fund-raising concert.
First to take to the stage were the St Nicholas Singers, the talented and always entertaining
community choir founded and conducted by our one-time organist, Mike Foy.
His wife, daughter and two sisters made up most of the front row
- definitely a case of keeping it in the family. They offered us some lovely carols
After the interval, when wine and mince pies were provided, the evening was rounded off by the sounds of skiffle.

Watch this space to rock around the clock......
