Following many weeks of
disappointingly changeable weather, the combined prayer power of the
priests and people prevailed
once again, and on August 15th the sun shone warmly on the sylvan
delights of the packed vicarage garden.
Sausages, burgers and icecream
were devoured - not alway entirely elegantly perhaps - and the
traditional Good Time was had by All.
In the course of the
afternoon, a good sum was raised towards a contribution to the
Christian Aid Pakistan flood relief appeal.
