Patronal
Pageantry 2008
The first
page of images of
the splendid service on the night of October 6th,
the Feast Day of Saint Faith, patron of our church.
The Preacher was the Right
Reverend Hugh Allan, (O.Praem,) Prior Administrator of the Norbertine
Canons (the Order of Prémontré) in Manchester.
The Abbey Church in Conques is served
by members of the Order of Prémontré
(Premonstratensians). Also present were a panoply of priests and
vistors from near and far.
The augmented choir, in fine voice,
sang parts of Louis Vierne's Messe Solonelle, and were
accomnpanied by two visiting organists, and directed by Sam Austin, our
Director of Music.
After the well-attended service, the
traditional food and wine were ingested in the Church Hall.
