The 2008 Recitals Programme

We were delighted to welcome some new musicians this year and responded to last year’s customer feedback by adding in more soloists and a jazz band. In addition, we were pleased to welcome back our former Director of Music, Gerard Callacher, to play for us on 23 August. Easter was early in 2008, so there were even more concerts than usual!

The season proved highly successful, with an  average of 72 people attending each week, and numbers sometimes exceeding 100.

Please note that the programme may be subject to late change; full details and changes are regularly updated on this site

Take a break from shopping and hear some familiar and not so well known works.  We look forward to welcoming new and old friends of Saint Faith’s at these very popular Saturday Recitals.

The 2006 Recitals Programme Archive

For the 2006 season, we reverted to the full original pattern of  recitals between the Saturday after Easter and the end of August. The series was once again a great success and much appreciated by our audiences. Numbers attending varied between about 40 to 150 (for the final concert). The programme is printed below (although there were a few changes as the smmer progressed).

As always, we are most grateful to the faithful helpers who arranged the concerts, opened the church, served refreshments and helped to welcome visitors - and of course to everyone who just came to watch and to listen!

The 2007 Series - our tenth programme - will begin as usual on the Saturday after Easter Day, and will run throughout the summer until the end of August.  Many people have said that they would appreciate concerts to fill the gap over the autumn and winter, and we are considering this request. Watch this space!

The final concert of the 2006 season also marked the departure of our Director of Music, Ged Callacher.  Click here  for pictures of the event, and links to associated pages.
