The 2004 St Faith's
HolidayClUB

Monday, August 2nd, saw the start of the second Holiday Club at Saint Faith's. Saint Mary's have been running their Holiday Club for some years, and last year, foir the first time, a similar week of activities was launched for children of the comminity at Saint Faith's, with great help from the people of our sister parish. This year we were again grateful for their help, but were able to provide much of the support and organisation from our own resources.

The week was fully subscribed, with just under sixty local children, aged between 5 and 11, taking part, looked after by a gallant band of helpers and supporters. The week consists of five days of varied activities, running from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 pm. Most sessions are held in the church hall, but there are various trips out and outdoor activities.

Our pictures show what happened on the opening day, with activities in the church hall, and across the road in the sunshine on Merchant Taylors' School fields. In both locations, there were copious supplies of soft drinks to keep the children - and the helpers - happy.
