Club Happenings 2006
...fun and
games at St Faith's
The
July 2006 Holiday Club at St Faith's was the fourth annual event (St
Mary's have been running one for some twenty years!), and it was as
popular and successful as ever.
Each July, a gang of selfless helpers
organise and run five days of events for children, aged between 5 and
11, of the churches and parishes - and they are always packed out,
with a waiting list! The children are organised in groups
according to their age, and follow a programme of group activities
indoors and outside - making things, and doing things. The programmes
include fun and games on playing fields, and two coach
trips to attractions some distance away. The theme this year was
'Space',
The final day features a church
service, with the children performing for their parents and showing
something of what they have been doing, and a disco to round off the
whole week.
