Picturing the Patronal 2017

Sunday 8th October, within the Octave of the Feast of St Faith of Aquitaine, Virgin and Martyr and patron of our church,
has for very many years seen a High Mass of St Faith in her honour and in celebration of over a century of worship within our walls.

2017 was no exception and, as in recent years, we were happy to welcome members of the other Waterloo Anglican Churches,
from our partner in the United Benefice, St Mary the Virgin, Waterloo Park and from neighbouring Christ Church and St John's.

Our  very welcome guest, as preacher and celebrant, was Fr Michael Raynor, fondly remembered by many from when he served his title at
St Faith's between 1985 and 1988. After a splendid and colourful service, some 60 of us sat down to an equally splendid meal in the church hall.

Lord, for a century of praise
Here on this holy ground;
For Faith in whose strong sacrifice
Our watchword still is found,
We give you thanks, and ask your grace
For holiness like hers:
To serve your world and keep the faith
Throughout the turning years.
