The Bootle Deanery Service 2012
On Sunday, 10th June, the Bootle Deanery Anglican churches
will be coming together for the annual Deanery service.
This will be held at St Phillip's Church,. Litherland at 11.00 am.

The 'Titanic' Anniversary at St Faith's

The Chief Engineer of the ill-fated liner, Joseph Bell, was a regular worshipper at St Faith's, and is commemorated by a plaque in our church. On Sunday April 15th at our main service we remembered him with an Act of Commemoration, and our choir gave the first performance of 'They That Go Down to the Sea in Ships', an anthem in his memory by our Acting Director of Music. ANNOUNCEMENT

On 19th February it was announced that after 13 years ministry here Fr. Neil Kelley will be moving on from St. Faith’s and
St. Mary’s to a new appointment at the end of June. Fr. Neil has been appointed Rector of Bushey in the Diocese of St. Alban’s. He will begin his new ministry on Monday 23rd July and there his final service in the United Benefice will be on Sunday 24th June (the Feast of John the Baptist) at 11.00 am in St. Mary’s Waterloo.

Services Family Support Group

'A TIME OF QUIET.... A TIME OF COMPANY'

Since this group started in March 2010, we have held monthly Open Meetings, each evening beginning with a short and moving prayer-based service which is followed by socialising and light refreshments. Meetings are held, usually on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 7.30 - 9.00 pm in the church, or as announced. Everyone is welcome, so please come along and join us at any time.

Our next meeting is on Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 at 7.30 pm in St Faith's.
Our guest speaker will be Major Lisa Tierney, 208 Field Ambulance T.A.
