Mothering Sunday 2013 Images of an action-packed service on March 10th, 2013. Fr Simon paraded the Brownies at the front of church - and prepared the way for a guest appearance by his dog Poppy, who almost disappeared beneath the children trying to pet her. Poppy emerged to feature in a tableau when she would only 'sit' when addressed in simple and direct language: a suitable metaphor for conveying the word of God to his waiting people! After the flags were paraded out at the end of the service, there was time for a reflective candle at the votive stand by the Lady Chapel and for children of all ages to collect a small bouquet of flowers for their mothers. Some days earlier, the vicar is seen finding a different sort of refreshment at a men's meal at the Saffron restaurant in Waterloo The Palm Sunday gallery Maundy Thursday Good Friday and Holy Saturday The Easter Vigil Easter Day |
