In 1975 website manager and then churchwarden Chris Price wrote a history of St Faith's covering its first 75 years and the book has long been out of print. Much of the historical material for the web site has been drawn from this book, but the full text of the book is supplied here in pdf format as an aid to research. The text is as written in the book but some of the illustrations have been changed as the originals are no longer available and others already appear on the web site.
Double click on the chapter in the contents list in order to open that chapter in Adobe Acrobat Reader; Acrobat Reader will open in the browser pane and the chapter will be displayed. You may save the chapter using the "save as" feature and then may open the chapter again in Acrobat reader when off-line.
You must have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. It may already be installed as many items of software now have manuals presented in pdf and the option is given to load Acrobat Reader when installing the software.
