The Deanery 'Do' 2016

Once a year the Anglican Deanery of South Sefton (formerly known as the Bootle Deanery)
stages a joint Sunday morning eucharist for the parishes of the group.
Each church agrees not to hold individual morning services but to celebrate together.
On July 3rd, 2016, the service was held in the magnificent setting of Old Christ Church, Waterloo.
Once the local parish church, it is now a centre for community activities
(which explains why our service orders came with a flyer for the flea markets!) and occasional acts of worship.
Fr Gregor Cuff, in whose parish this splendid edifice lies, presided at the eucharist,
Revd Tom Rich, the Area Dean, took part, and the preacher was the Revd Peter Spiers,
Archdeacon of Knowsley and Sefton. Clergy and Readers from the various churches
came together in the sanctuary for the landmark act of worship
