The BBC are coming to Saint Faith’s, Crosby, to record two programmes to be broadcast as part of an Advent series in which the Bishop of Liverpool is the preacher. Both the BBC and Bishop James are keen to see this as a venture which involves as many people, of all ages, from the local community and beyond, and we are very much hoping that you will be able to come and be part of this! These programmes will be transmitted on BBC1 National Television on Sunday 12th December: Advent III  (Sung Eucharist) and Sunday 19th December: Advent IV (Carol Service).

I realise it is quite a commitment in terms of rehearsal times but you will appreciate that these things are very hard work!
The end result will be well worth it, especially since there’s a chance of becoming TV stars!

It may be you aren’t able to manage all three dates; if so, perhaps you can join us for the first two sessions, up to 3.30pm on Saturday 4 December (that is, the programme going out on 19 December).

ADMISSION WILL BE BY TICKET ONLY on a first come, first served basis. The rehearsal schedule is as follows
(all in S. FAITH’S CHURCH, junction of Liverpool Road North & Kingsway, L22):

Saturday 27th November:  3.30pm – 6.30pm   Rehearsal
Saturday 4th December: 10.15am – 3.30pm  (with breaks!)  Rehearsal and Recording (Advent III)

PLEASE NOTE: If you are only part of the recording for the ADVENT III service (Sung Eucharist)
you will NOT be required on Sunday 5th December

Sunday 5th December: 10am prompt – 3.30pm (with lunch break) Rehearsal & Recording (Carols)
